I had the same reaction when I found out that. I was so shocked and raged to the extent that I kept scolding "Idiot! Idiot!" at that page. My brother looked at me with his eyebrow raised as if I was mad.

It was so heart-breaking to see her crying badly.
Loving someone who has no place for her in his heart right from the start, since Taisuke already fell for Megumi since they were in highschool.
Have to say that the ending is quite anti-climatic. But at least I was happy and relieved to see everything finally resolved and they got to gather again.
Still hoping that this series can get animated.
