That's just him taking the fall for Daisuke Satou's laziness. Souji could easily slow down the release of Triage X if he wanted since its his story. He's just the artist of HotD and without the writer to proper layout the story is rather pointless. "Proper research" is such a convenient (and lame) excuse for not writing new chapters.
