Kimura did the designs for GunxSword ect... but,and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, Kimura's role here was to take CLAMP's original designs and redraw/simplify them so that the animators have something they can animate. Kimura would not alter the basic design that much, except to clean them up for animation. It is, afterall, CLAMP credited in the OP with the character
designs...
