It's not like Charlotte's technique left literally no place to move at all. There was still enough room to move around and have a battle in. So I don't see why flash step or sonido couldn't be used. It's pretty easy to imagine a scenario where flash steps could be used to simultaneously evade the attack and appear behind Yumichika for a quick strike in the back. Of course, we have no idea how effective flash steps/sonido would be against Yumichika's attack since it wasn't even attempted. That's why I'm wondering.
