I'm scratching my head about the choice to use real life event though. Is that supposed to build conflicting emotions within the viewer or is this anime creating some surrealist existentialist look at the kind of disruption of lives (or was it their fate or a disruption of fate) that a jarring event like a terrorist attack can have?
