In Season 2, he threw it at Zarovee [not sure if he did in the LN since I live in the US and can't read any of them b/c of them ;_______;]
In addition to that, I'm pretty sure that it looked a tad bit too big and whatnot for our (
smaller) Yuji to handle.
But for Season 3, (after he fused with SoF), I'm pretty sure that it's still the same size and all. He just grew bigger after fusing with SoF, too.
