I swear this is one of the fucking dumbest moves in military strategy. Airstrikes in an open area against a squatter group which is less than the size of a company?

This operation should have been less overt - military cordons complete with APCs and Jeeps, combat patrols on shoot-to-kill, then send in the Rangers to flush them out. This is an INSURGENCY, not an all-out war.

And if they want face? Simple, offer rewards for capture of living insurgents, then trial them in a proper court for crimes against the state.
