1. Almost two thirds of the pictures in this episode are taken from the first season. J. C. Staff has certainly taken the arts of budgeting to a new level... To be fair with them, the plot of the first episode is about Yuuji's deja vu, so I will let them pass.
2. Shana's very un-shana-like revelation in the end of the first season is good for nothing, for Yuuji did not hear it at all... good job, director. Now with the "reset" button pushed, we are back to the troublesome relationship between those two protagonists.
3. The plot of this story is farther and farther away from the novel. I am not sure whether it will ever come back... Let's see

I don't know, figured they had inserted this game character arc to try and run damage control and get things somewhat back to the original storyline.
