Hmm... this could be really difficult if they had planned to get you banned through this and you reacted harshly. The best option is, as Konakaga said, to explain what happened to a mod but don't fully blame the other poster. As long as you take some of the blame, apologise, and make sure you tread carefully in the future you'll probably have a chance of being reinstated.
Though once again, this might be the wrong area to ask.
