That really seems to be the appeal of Kobato, to me. Sena and Yozora are squaring off for his romantic attention, so I'm glad there's also the sub-rivalry of Kobato vs Maria to be his imouto, rather than have the whole cast become the harem equivalent of a six-car pileup.
