Gespenst = German for ghost/haunt/wraith
Jäger = German for hunter
We decided NOT to go with the literal translation, because "ghost hunter" would sound like Ghostbusters - and the point of Gespenst Jäger (which isn't truly German either, or it would have to be Gespensterjäger) is not hunting ghosts, but a hunter who is a ghost himself.
Besides, in the episode the term is immediately explained by the badguy, so there was no need for a (potentially misleading) TLnote.
Side comment: The same holds true for "Krankheit Jäger". Krankheit = German for sickness/disease. Again, it would be slightly misleading to directly translate. And again, the _true_ meaning of the term in the Pumpkin Scissors universe is explained immediately thereafter.
Rest assured - if a term of German origin is used and NOT explained immediately, I will insist on a TLnote.
