Some summaries for today.
Spoiler for Ep6 summaries:
- Zepar and Furfur congratulate them. George and Jessica wants to know what happens next as they want to get the miracle. Battler says the trials willcontinue.
- Zepar and Furfur explain that not all the couples can have a miracle. Jessica deduces that the next trials will be to eliminate other couples so that one couple remains. The two demons say she is spot on.
- Zepar and Furfur say that the next trial will be based on the epitaph's "pull apart two who are close." Kanon and Shannon asks what trial this will be. Beato1 is sad that not everyone can get it, while George mentions economic theory of limited resources.
- Battler talks about how games have a definite winner and loser, and that this is the world they live in. Jessica says the ideal world would have everyone happy. Zepar and Furfur say that the land she talks about is the Golden Land.
- Battler says this is the land where dreams come true. Jessica wonders if this place exists. George says they will make their love realin the real world. Short narrator description of the Golden Land
- Kanon reminds them they are off track and wants to know what lies ahead for them. Zepar and Furfur casually explain that their trial based on this epitaph line is that one of them among the six has to die. If one member of a pair die, then the couple drops out of the trial. Battler says this is the rule. The two demons say they can pull lots to see who offs who. Jessica finds this method horrid. George says Battler should decide who fight who, but not make it in obvious favor for Beato1.
- The demons say they will apply impartial rules. Narrator explains that while they will all end up fighting each other, when one falls their partner also loses. It's a 2:2 of 1:1 but never 2:1. George says there is something wrong with the rules.
- He seems to suggest that since the loss of one means the loss of the other half, one pair of combatants may not even need to start fighting and wait for the other fight to have a winner and loser. There is further explanation of the rules that's hard to understand but basically the participants have a beef with the second trial rules: that no one really fights because they're all waiting for the other fights finish rather than be forced to actually kill each other. In this case, no one might ever starts fighting.
- Battler takes this into consideration. George suggests rock paper scissors but Jessica doesn't want it. Rock Paper Scissors analogy. Battler agrees and George says they'd rather have their chance to decide rather than let it be randomized.
- Zepar and Furfur seem to say they will let them decide who they will try and fight.
Rokkenjima 1986
- Krauss is shocked at Erika's suspicions. Rudolph suggests Krauss should get the master keys from the servants. Krauss cannot imagine one of them being the murderer.
- Erika suggests the 10 tons of gold story as a possible motive. Rudolph also suggests the possible bizarre ceremony of Kinzo's. Krauss says they haven't contacted Kinzo since the phone line's aren't working, and that Kinzo's a in a bad mood and won't talk to anyone. Thing is Kinzo's still dead now so it's obvious he's still covering it up.
- They talk about Hideyoshi guarding the suspects right now and dividing them into two rooms. Erika thinks this might be what the killer wants, to split them up to make murder easier. Rudolph suggests isolating the three suspects and having him and Krauss guard them.
- Hideyoshi is splitting the people up right now, as Krauss requested Jessica to stay with him. Erika brings out the sheep and wolf issue again, since there are 12 people and the division is 7:5. Krauss says he is being rational wanting to protect his daughter after Natsuhi's death.
- I guess the three agree on a proper 6:6 split.
- All the remaining people are herded into the second floor of the guesthouse. In one room (I forget which one) is Krauss, Jessica, Rudolph, Genji, Kanon and Gohda. In the next room Hideoyoshi, George, Shannon, Kumasawa, Nanjo and Erika. Restatement of the island's isolated status. The same as previous games.
- At 2am the survivors gather their supplies while Erika plans their survival. For the room where the suspects are, it is decided that at least Rudolph or Krauss whould be awak at any given time.
- Battler side scene. He congratulates Erika's plan to keep the suspects in check. Even without detective authority she is managing to lead them. Battler equates detective authority to magic. Beato1 says magic isn't simply given to humans at a whim.
- Battler asks Erika why she decided to split the group in two. Narrator has a wall of text about it, mostly about how this is part of Erika's new plan of "protection" (probably something with the tape). Beato1 doesn't understand, Erika says this method will allow her to observe and control the situation better.
- In the suspect room, Jessica is blanketed up while Krauss guards. She apparently still is in denial with her mom's death. Kanon wants to comfot her but Rudolph casts a watchful eye. The room is quiet.
- The Erika room is also very quiet. George and Shannon are together as are Nanjo and Kumasawa. Hideoyoshi explains the situation. Kumasawa hops the ship comes tomorrow but Nanjo thinks it is unlikely. He says they should all get some sleep.
- George says he's simply in no mood to sleep. Erika excuses herself to go to the other room to talk investigate more, since the phones don't work. She says no one should leave this room. She says she'll be back in an hour or so. They should have enough supplies for about 2 days. George asks why Erika has to go to the other room but Hideyoshi says it's for required business.
- Hideoyoshi slowly checks the outside before Erika comes out. Hideyoshi has some trust in Shannon due to George but Erika has her own doubts. Hideyoshi goes back inside and locks the door.
- With a sly smile Erika goes about her work, now that everyone's presence is accounted for.
- Side scene. Erika makes the confirmation to Battler of everyone's status. Battler initially says he doesn't have to, but Erika says he should to prove magic is the reason behind seemingly impossible murders.
