Spoiler for Ondul! Precure 11 - Aggskadibar?:
There's an amusing little thing on the page for the Love Heart Arrow on Amazon. If you buy it, it recommends Wizard Infinity's Ax Calibur along with it. And why wouldn't it? They're basically the same thing. It just depends on if you want to shoot someone to purify their heart or slash them with a giant crystal dragon. The tears of a child or the tears of a mage. The Toei block has a strong sense of identity, even if Precure's animated and toku is aimed at boys.
So we have another episode about Mana Jersey Clubbing it up, and not even her wife can stop her from doing what she wants to do. I am glad that Joe is taking care of Ai most of the time and not entrusting her to the team 24/7, because they're still in school, turning them into teenage mothers would be disastrous. Bel's power up was... odd. So the generals can eat hearts to transform into monsters of their own power, but turning into Cell Phone Investigator 7's helpers might not be the smartest choice.
There's been plenty of commentary on the Love Heart Arrow already, so I'll say that it seems very Yes!/Fresh in that it boosts the basic attacks. Since they're individual instead of a group, like Rainbow Burst, that means more variety in the fights. I'm okay with this. The new stock for the new attacks wasn't bad either. And I like that Mana was able to inspire someone to do things on their own, instead of doing everything on her own. A nice little episode.
But the blonde-haired girl in next week's promo is very curious. Villain characters are a surefire way to get the attention of the older fans, and she looks to do just that.
