Just some musing here before I go read Episode 4, so ignore me if someone's brought this up already.
Spoiler for 07151129:
The tips for George's death say: "In exchange for his soul, the witch gave eight numbers. If you say it, a small Golden Land will be opened." Since "Golden Land" in the context of the epitaph refers to where the gold is hidden, it seems pretty obvious that this involves accessing money in some way. I know a safe combination has been suggested before, but what about an access code for a bank account? (Particularly because you have to actually say the code to someone to open it.)
If it is a safe combination, where is the safe? Ange's birthday in the number suggests that it's a code created by Rudolf or Kyrie, and given Rudolf's attitude toward Krauss I wouldn't think he'd be willing to keep a family safe on the island. He didn't bring it with him either, since apparently there wasn't anything abnormally heavy in the luggage, and a safe would have been much heavier than a gold ingot. And if it's at Rudolf and Kyrie's home, nobody else would know they have it.
The problem with the code being for a bank account is of course that Rudolf doesn't have any money, and everyone else knows it. That pretty much leaves Kyrie, who didn't hear about the financial troubles (so far as we know) until the family conference. Could be a private account of hers, maybe money from her family, but that gets back into "nobody else should have know about it" territory.
Well, maybe I'll learn something in Episode 4?
