Probable reason IMO is that Hasegawa wasn't the script writer after ep 6.
Kajishima created the story/characters, but Hasegawa excecuted those factors most excellently.

Oh, I didn't know about that but the feel from ep 1-6 was gone right after. It became dull and borish after that moment so I should've looked up for the script/screen writer. It all makes sense to me now since I didn't understand why the hype never showed up again.
