I agree in large part which is why in the end, I'm good with the wrap up. IMHO it would have been lots of FUN to prolong the facepalm stuff in the area of personal physical relations, especially because in a way the author was basically leading us to it the whole time, but in the end, went for the emotional connection instead. In its own way, it indeed was a squeaky clean series after all.
I'm sure there were plenty of H Doujin done back in the early 2000's of this title. Besides, one could pick up Futari Ecchi and consider it the continuation of this series thematically speaking! Heh.
