Reminds me of that little poem/story about Japan's three unifiers Nobunaga, Hideyoshi and Ieyasu.
Nobunaga takes Nanoha's approach:
"If the cuckoo does not sing, kill it." (ruthlessness)
Hideyoshi does Hayate's approach:
"If the cuckoo does not sing, coax it." (resourcefulness)
Ieyasu uses Fate's approach:
"If the cuckoo does not sing, wait for it." (perseverance)
