This is the same with me. In the first episode I liked Ranka much more but now I am preferring Sheryl because she actually has backbone. Ranka is really cute but I hope they toughen her up a bit. Because right now she is just your typical helpless female character. She sings very nicely though.
Although that is just talking character-wise. As for a romantic pairing I much prefer Alto/Ranka. They just have more chemistry and the aww factor going for them.
