A plan like this map will not promote world peace. It will devolve into the "alliance rush" that started World War I, except it will actually involve the entire world instead of just half of Eurasia. Oh, and nukes.
That said, I'm pretty happy this didn't happen. I'm not a sociologist or anything, but 7 is not good. I theorize that 7 will go down to three possibilities:
1) 7 becomes 3, we have 1984.
2) 7 becomes 2, the world ends.
OR, after a while
3) 7 becomes 1, but the world already ended.
