Because the circumstances of Crow's infection was different from the others. While the others had the full armour equipped, Crow only had a small piece embedded in his back, so the extend of Beast's influence on his avatar is considerably lessened. Even if one found the enormous willpower required to have a little bit of control over his/her avatar, it definitely wouldn't have been enough to force it to unequip.
