Since we can see the actual forcefield, it's fairly obvious that it's an energy shield of some sort, and since we know that the pinpoint barrier is based off of the fold principles, we can make a few basic assumptions about it. However, why do you think this is important? What the heck difference does it make if it's a light-pressure defense (which doesn't make any sense) or a plasma wall (which also doesn't make any sense), or an electromagnetic field, or some sort of exotic energy field? Isn't it vastly more important to know what it does, and what it's limitations are?
