I understand you, I also hate GSD. To me it was the lowest point in the history of Gundam (on par with SD Gundam that aired on CN, still I didn't finish the whole show so I can't really say that), but I would say that start was really good. Through the half way it just was horrible, so many plot holes and probably one of the worst writing ever in anime.
