I know, but most of the laws put in place seem to be targeted towards youth violence. I've seen some of the 16-25yo's around here. Underage drinking, public nuisance, shouting, ganging up, swearing. A van full of young tradies went past and they were giving me the finger because I was in school uniform. >.< They're the ones that bring the whole system down. If they can't say "I'm a bit tipsy, maybe I won't drive" instead of "I know I'm tipsy, but it's my car and ain't no Mother****** gonna touch my car" then these things wouldn't happen:
Survivor 'saw fear in brother's eyes'
Last month, a probationary licenced driver had a bit too much to drink, and crashed his car into a tree, killing 5 people.
Driver, 15, critical. Passenger dead
Last night, someone who shouldn't even have been driving crashed a car, and killed his best mate.
See what I mean? These people have no idea what they're doing. This is why the state bumped up the practice minimum and extended the probationary period.
