I'm wondering if anyone mentioned these news that happened today for the PS3's launch.

From this, someone got shot trying to get his own PS3, a pregnant mother ignored her contractions to get one, three PS3 campers were robbed, one used his engagement ring money for his girlfriend but spent it for his own unit ("Stupid!" was the first word that came of out my mouth), and two gunmen robbed a retail store and stole 15 PS3s.

So...is anyone here desperate to steal or hospitalize someone to get one for yourself or for significant other? I'll probably get one after Christmas or later so I can get one calmly and with no guns at all.

EDIT: Also, with someone getting shot over this, Jack Thompson may activate his 'attention-whore' mode again and say that someone was almost shot to death for a video game system.
