-Apparently the GDF factions are similar to Gundam 00: Russia/China vs. North America vs. probably Europe (not stated)
-A new ending theme with the visuals featuring just the guys (and it was bleh)

And hey Asagi gets a level of character development, did not see that coming.

Instead of Gundam 00 factions, the factions of GDF is more similar to the Earth Alliance military from Gundam Seed. They are part of the same organization but at the same time the member states are highly independent--retaining command over their own troops and are each competing for influence. Earth Federation forces from Gundam 00 at the very least all answer to a single leader and a single parliament.

It's no wonder the humans are losing, considering how divided they are internally.
