Or possibly her parents haven't figured out Airi's complex and prepare massive gourmet feasts for her every day, and either she doesn't want to hurt her parents by refusing or they don't let her go until she's finished it all. Doting parents are very scary, in some ways even more creepy than controlling ones. Also, I imagine she was eating big at some point, she wouldn't go crazy about her size until she'd already sprung up a good deal.
