Interweaving storylines won't be an issue for ef, which takes on a linear structure.
Most bishoujo games focus on one protagonist and many heroines, which means alternative routes. However, ef is a collection of linked love stories (two in -the first tale-), each featuring a different protagonist.
Now the question is whether each scenario has enough substance to allow for a satisfying anime series.
