really, knowing Isshin could loose his powers only to regain them later kinda ruins any tension of ichigo's power loss... not to mention we've been down this road once before with ishida

I guess that is pretty simplistic sense most of the time when a a person uses a powerful attack they would lose there power only to return so that would be the reason for writer to have a long arc and continue the series otherwise the series would end
