Fans will think as they will anyway no matter what they do. I'm sure there's many wondering if that speculation of L-Elf x Saki turns out to be a thing after all because of that placement. Furthermore Haruto x Shoko is a pairing, yes, but so is Haruto x Saki and L-Elf x Shoko. Hell, Saki's rejection of Haruto was because she was in love with him as shown by her reaction after she went into the cockpit.
Their best bet to avoid all of that would have been to do it as such.
L-Elf/Shoko/Haruto/Saki
As that's what already hinted at or the such already and will keep imaginations in check.
