In one of my absolute favorite shoujo manga, I found this type of character to be close to intolerable. See, he's the heroine's cousin and his parents died when he was four so the heroine comforts him, saying they'll always be together. But she meant it in a "because we're family" way. So he latches onto her his entire life, like a leech, pretty much has a temper tantrum when she so much as talks to other guys, and is so insecure about "losing" her to someone else that he starts using underhanded methods to try to "get ahead". Note: THEY ARE NOT DATING while he does this.
Oh yes, and he doesn't figure out that he is obsessed is in "love" with her until she shows interest in another boy. And he thinks touching any other girl who is not his cousin is "disgusting". And he is f*cking fourteen years old.

Now I find this type of character incredibly unlikable and pathetic to boot. Such clinginess is so childish....you can compare it to a kindergartener who won't give up his security blanket.

I personally wouldn't like such a pairing, but mostly for the reason they are cousins. Incest sucks.
