Ran into my first really annoying glitch (outside of occasional crash-to-desktop from zoning or video driver barfs).
Fighting a major "boss" battle in the Thieves Guild questline - the target was using invisibility spells while he fought. For some reason during the battle, his invisibility would leak onto me and I'd end up perma-invisible by appearance but the NPCs acted like I was normal-visible. Tried a few dozen things to fix it including console commands, redoing from the prior save, fasttravel, toggling clothes, invis potions, blah blah --- but the only thing that worked to make me visible again was to shout using the "Become Ethereal" command, once it wore off I was visible again. So consider it a tip in case it happens.
