That's some justification I still can't consider as foolproof.
It is because they are in "cold war"? I would rather see some awkward interactions, no downright hatred and insults.
Even Kyousuke states they didn't interact much, nor he could talk with her face to face for -years-. Acting like strangers isn't the same as waging sibling love/hate interactions at all.
While I would understand if Kirino had hard time to choose her words wisely, going trigger happy on the verbal abuse etc is arguably not justified by the so called "cold war". I don't think anyone expect Kirino to be all considerate or sweet towards Kyousuke. But no matter what, she just pushes him doing things without considering his own take, nor she gives him credit or time to explain himself.
