Garms (Frey's dogs) are banned dolls made out of dogs, given that info: Kimberley also wondered "who" Marcus use to make his dolls.
Spoiler for more on the issue:
However, in a later volume Io (a genius, professor at the academy, and a long distance member of Raishin's harem) said something along the lines that Shoko used "organic elements" for the creation of Yaya - which begs the question: was Yaya created without a human basis? If so, is Shoko capable of giving Yaya the capability to reproduce (or will Yaya's wish to become human and be Raishin's wife cause her body to develop accordingly)?
In the case of Alice (which led to Raishin saying how he will embrace her and not let her sleep if he accidentally married her), there is a self conflict of whether or not she is human or an automaton. We have Garms which are considered as banned dolls made of dogs, we also have Frey and Lohi who are humans with a mechanical heart. So what about someone in between? A human with a lot of mechanical parts?
"Kikou Shoujo wa Kizutsukanai"
> Unbreakable machine doll.
Said Alice (unbreakable should translated to "not get hurt").
According to her, those are the words of prophecy. The ultimate creation, a "machine doll", is a perfect being that cannot be hurt. She also questioned, if the "not get hurt" part also include never having their heart broken.
I can image Raishin saying something along the lines of "getting hurt, both mentally and physically, is part of being human and something that makes us grow".
On a unrelated note:
The author needs to stop introducing new heroines and let the current harem spend more time with Raishin.
