It has occurred to me that for somebody who hasn't read any of the novels, this season really is all re-hash except Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody, and Episode 9 (or one of Episodes 3 through 8, plus the last five minutes of 9, take your pick).
In an odd sort of way, I think that the lack of Vanishment (unless it comes up later of course) is actually worse for the non-novel readers than it is for the novel readers. At least novel readers can take some solace in seeing the entirety of
Sighs come to life. For non-novel readers... it's just the making of Episode00. It really is.
