We knew Michael Bay wanted to involve the Autobots and the Decepticons in the human Cold War (the old or new one, regardless) but it seems he took it one step further by "retconning" part of the Moon landing mission into a covert op...one tasked with exploring the contents of a crashed spaceship lying on the far side of the Moon - hence Movie 3's title, "Transformers: Dark of the Moon".

And, yes, apparently, this is not a trailer-exclusive plot point - it will be included in the movie itself.

Omg, great find! I'm so gonna look forward to seeing this movie.
I love Transformers, well I'm only a fan of the other 2 movies.
