Yeah losing both arms on most Gundams you and the ship you're on is pretty much screwed the only other exceptions I think off of the top of my head are the Impulse and the G-units from the Gundam Wing side story.
Also after seeing the preview it does look like the it's AGE-1 and the damage is worse then I thought.
