I guess the pool just wouldn't look that nice if there was a safety net.
Maybe even if you fall you will bounce back because it rejects people who don't wear a special (magical?) suit? Quite a contrived explantion, I know. Another possibility is that the suits are needed just to leave a trail so that the movements of the Sibyllas can be followed easier and there is nothing else special about them?
