I don't think it's much of a surprise. She's generally the most level headed girl in the group, is incredibly athletic (Great at archery, riding and gymnastics), down to earth and confident and easily the type of girl anyone would love to have as a girlfriend. I couldn't help but feel like they were pandering her a little bit. I mean not only does she have all the aforementioned qualities, but she has the boobs (which they were keen to show off) and they made her do a pretty incredible dance routine practice for absolutely no reason (since it doesn't even appear in actual event). I guess it also helps that Taichi, a possibly love interest, leans dangerously close to the typical Everyman archetype.
