Instead of the threesome going out to the baseball cage as in the anime, Ami actually joins them before that, then follows them to the cage. Trying to tease Taiga, Ami grabs onto Ryuji and loudly announces their intention to go for a break, much to Taiga's shock and anger. She then "ditches" Ryuji when out of Taiga's sight. This leads to some banter between the two where they discuss how complicated she is to understand and more of what she thinks of Kitamura.
