In the end I'm pretty happy with how things went overall here. Some expected developments, some surprises, and have to say I enjoyed the ability to customize with basically every mission. Kind of nice you weren't really locked in with the Protoss, but could be really flexible and try different setups.

So yeah, the whole thing with Zeratul...I didn't see that coming. Definitely a badass moment for him and just showing his dedication to doing what was necessary. Sacrificing his life to save Artanis was a simple choice for him. Guy was always just doing what he felt was needed for the universe to come through it.

The Protoss campaign wasn't all that full of surprises otherwise. Gathering factions and forces all made sense. A bit surprised to see mech-clone Fenix. Though he didn't stay at that name for all that long. Alarak was an interesting guy if only for how contrasting he was to everyone. Though showed his growth at the end by allowing anyone who wanted to leave and join the Templar to do so (for a one time only offer). Certainly more merciful than he actually would have been at the start of this.

The fate of the Xelnaga was a good twist. That Amon had massacred them a long time ago was a great shock for Artanis. Though did set up the expected turn for Kerrigan. Being the one individual who ascended and the key to killing Amon for good.

I'm ok with a bit of an uncertain ending for Raynor. Was certainly a sad enough moment just seeing him there. 2 years after it all ended and he was back where he was in some ways at the start of SC2. They won, but it was a personal cost for him and he just wasn't one for staying in the light and leadership of the new Dominion. If no one saw him again I'd presume Kerrigan helped him ascend but who knows.

Kind of surprised unless I missed something that Artanis himself didn't get much of an epilogue. I mean you know he leads the new Protoss as they rebuild on Aiur, but not much details.

In the end, I'm happy with it. SC2 has been quite the adventure over these years and the 3 campaigns. May go through it on a brutal run sometime just to get that story again, but I'm pretty happy with it.
