Wow, this is for me one of the better shows this season. What stand out in this show for me are the presentation, concept, character design and the fine balance between the serious and comical parts of this anime. Awesome!
And anyone noticed the teleporter at the beginning? It really looks like the one from the movie "
The Fly". Perhaps a reference to the movie.
Also the last scene of the "golden ray of light", I was thinking of an alien who was coming descending to earth at first, then a few seconds later the scene reminded me a little of Eden of the East/Higashi no Eden (also pay attention to the Silhouette bulge/lump of the rotating descending body; it's a male) and finally "
The Terminator" (where "Arnie" came back in time naked in crounching position).
