I agree, the smaller the harem the more character focus there can be to develop the women in meaningful ways. Erica, Liliana, Yuri, Ena form a very manageable group. As for Godou, he is Campione. He can marry all four.
Also, being American born and raised, I do find the cultural differences in public displays of affection (PDA) to be rather interesting. Of course, it should be known that even most Americans are somewhat uncomfortable with it. That very classic line of "get a room" is used quite a bit. Still, I think we are less nerve wracked about hand holding, closely sitting together and cheek kissing. There is a pretty strong puritanical segment of American society, especially in our 'Bible Belt'.
Despite that, hooray for the girls!
