I'd rather see Kawamori addressing the things he left unresolved than galloping off to do the next new project. And no, the movie doesn't count for me, since it's another continuity.
Hell, Macross freaking seven got how many OVA episodes before they moved on? I really do hope that they give Frontier some more love before their next project. The series especially needs it, given that it's ending was sub-optimal.
