I would not be surprised if the new season/series would be titled "The Intrigues of Haruhi Suzumiya", since we are expecting that it will cover the stories up to the end of "Intrigues" ("Snow Mountain Syndrome" and "The Melancholy of Mikuru Asahina" being pretty much required for the plot and thus unskippable). I would anticipate an episode plan something like:

1: Love at First Sight
2-3: Snow Mountain Syndrome
4: Where Did the Cat Go?
5: Intrigues (Prologue)
6: The Melancholy of Mikuru Asahina
7-12: Intrigues (Main)
13-14: ??? (extra story?)
