You know, something like this:
I just feel it's a bit easier to work on an area (i.e: the hair) when said area is outlined. It's also a great way to hide all those little
out-of-place bits of color that are left here and there.
Again, this is just my way of doing things. You can try and develop your own style for a while before checking the ways other people use.
