A little snippet from the second chapter of my alternate setting fic.

Do you ever go into deep thought as you drift off to sleep?
And because of this, you find yourself falling, only to be jerked awake?
I believe this happens to all of us, so perhaps you can think of the answer…

“If you are falling, then certainly there must be a bottom, what do you suppose this is?”

…yes, this question carries little importance, or does it? I often lose sleep just thinking about it, not exclusively ofcourse, I have a lot to think about, you know.
Now, I am a healthy young male, so naturally I have a certain girl on my mind from time to time, well, maybe a little more than time to time.

Her name is Shinonono Houki, and I’ve been staying with her family since I was little, you see, my father used to train under her father’s dojo, which is why he felt that if he was going to entrust me to anyone, it would be him. But why ask me to live with someone else anyway? No special reason, yes, both my parents are still alive so I don’t have a dramatic back-story to brood about.
