No max number restriction though. Also although it doesn't say so, once the marker(s) is removed, it loses the boost. Its the same for all cards.

Okay, having more text that clears up when the player can use a counter makes sense. If there is a starting condition that first must be met before you can put a counter onto the card, that should keep it from being over-abused. Otherwise, I could see people putting it onto the field, drop 10+ counters on it, and then swing for the fences.
