He wasn't that selfish he did keep Kallen out of his plans to spare her if he told her the truth she might have acted differently for sure

Actually, he didn't care if Kallen lived or died. Remember, he blew up Mt. Fuji to take down the black knights. What if Kallen was among them? He wouldn't have cared. It's a miracle that every named character except Diethard lived in the last couple episodes, but there were still massive casualties on both sides and Lelouch pretty much kept going forward without caring as part of his plan.
