But in the Total Eclipse anime, the Tank-class are shown carefully weeding through Yamashiro's Zuikaku and tossing away any of her armor so they can specifically eat Yamashiro. It would be one thing if they were eating her Zuikaku and just happened to eat her in the process because she was an object in their general NOMNOM trajectory, but that's totally not what happens when you watch that scene. Aside from that one derpy Tank that makes a point to chew her Zuikaku's head for some reason (Disabling her ability to escape? i dunno), they're completely disinterested in anything but
her. They're very discriminate in what they feel like eating.
But then again the TE anime doesn't really know what it's trying to be and (from what I've heard about the game) it already completely screwed up how Laser-class work, so...
