Well,this Layfon's surely an ass. I understoond his pretention of fool and weakling. I understood his somewhat cowardice. But he's clearly running away from responsibility that time. And not a for a simple one. 60000 lives depending on him. He knows how powerful the Filth Monsters are. He knows the military artists here probably has no chance. He knows they're not going to run away. But he fears his own life and places it above thousands. Surely not a very welcome move from him. Neither the LN and especially not the Anime Layfon could do that.
